Event History
Established in 1973 the Western Front is one of Canada’s leading artist-run centres for contemporary art and new music. The Western Front currently maintains programs in Exhibitions, Media Art and New Music, as well as an extensive archive of audio-visual materials. Through this diverse programming we continue to be a crucial platform for interdisciplinary, experimental art practices in Canada and internationally.
Artists of all levels of experience are encouraged to apply, as are those from diverse backgrounds.
Submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis and are reviewed by program curators. Applications from artists from other disciplines who wish to expand their creative practices are welcome.
Please be aware that programming is often determined one to two years in advance.
We will contact you if we feel that your proposal is suitable to the current programming at the Western Front.
