Art Competition

The Blue Space Gallery introduces “Wabi-sabi: Beauty in Imperfection”, which is an international art competition and online exhibition. This art competition is open to all artists of all ages internationally with no restrictions on media or style. Artwork must pertain to the theme of “Wabi-sabi: Beauty in Imperfection”. Please note that entry is FREE. Only artists whose work is selected as finalists must pay the $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their work exhibited online and move on to the final round of Jurying in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000.  

Theme: 

"Wabi-sabi: Beauty in Imperfection" invites artists to explore the profound elegance found in the imperfect, the transient, and the incomplete. This theme celebrates the natural beauty of the flawed and the weathered, embracing simplicity, asymmetry, and the passage of time. Artists are encouraged to express how imperfections can enhance rather than detract, revealing a deeper, more authentic beauty that resonates with the essence of life itself. Through your work, capture the grace in the humble and the extraordinary in the ordinary.
