Event History

This is the 9th iteration of the World Congress of Positive Psychology, and it is the first time they are partnering to launch a photography contest and exhibition. This is SeeingHappy.org's 4th photography contest, and second of its kind leading into an exhibition. Our last contest, Hope in Action, resulted in 1000 submissions, and brought in Televisa Foundation as a sponsor for an exhibition hosted by the Hope Circuit conference in Mexico City, Mexico.

What Makes this event different?

Purpose-Driven Photography: This is not just about aesthetics, it is about capturing moments that reflect the growth, healing, and regenerative spirit of people and the planet. Psychology + Art = Flourishing: It’s the first photography contest aligned with the broader field of positive psychology, launched in tandem with IPPA’s new Positive Arts & Culture Division, a space where research and creativity meet. Exhibited at a World Stage: Selected photos will be displayed at the 2025 World Congress on Positive Psychology in Brisbane, putting your vision in front of leading researchers, practitioners, and global change-makers. Accessible to All: Open to anyone with a camera, including smartphones, this contest values perspective over perfection. Your story and vision matter more than your gear. Global Dialogue on Renewal: The contest is part of a broader mission to create a worldwide visual conversation about how we heal and rebuild: personally, socially, and ecologically.
