Call For Entries - Juried Exhibition
Curated by the United Film Lab Network partners: All submissions will be selected by ranked choice voting where each image is anonymously ranked on an individual scale of 1-5. The 35 highest ranked images will be invited to participate in our booth at SUPERFINE! Art Fair in Washington DC October 26-29th 2023 AND at the Armstrong Gallery at the Knowlton. In addition to that, 65 will be selected to exhibit only at the Knowlton.
Submissions are open to all photographers, film and digital.
The $20 Application fee guarantees the inclusion of 3 images priced & edition-ed according to artists specifications in dedicated exclusive SHIM/Photo online Artsy Gallery. 35 Photographers will be invited to pay $150 exhibition fee for inclusion in SHIM/Photo SUPERFINE! DC Booth AND Armstrong Gallery
65 Photographers will be invited to pay $65 exhibition fee for inclusion in SHIM/Photo at the Armstrong Gallery only.
Exhibition fee covers:
printing & framing of 1 8x10” print to be sold as unique object for $250 w proceeds split 70/30 Artist/SHIM.
If a print sells at SUPERFINE! another copy will be printed & framed for exhibition in CT at no additional fee
SUPERFINE! Booth Fee (roughly $10k)
Shipping & Install of prints to & from DC & Bridgeport
Miscellaneous administrative & promotional expenses
