Theme:
The theme "Representation v. Abstraction" invites artists to explore and showcase the dynamic interplay between realistic depiction and abstract expression. This competition challenges participants to navigate the spectrum from precise, lifelike renderings to imaginative, non-representational creations, highlighting the contrasts and connections between these two fundamental artistic approaches. Whether capturing the intricate details of the visible world or delving into the realm of shapes, colors, and forms, artists are encouraged to express their unique vision and engage viewers in a dialogue about the diverse possibilities of visual art.
