Call for Entries for Photographers
Applicants for the award must be either from or based in the UK. Applicants are asked to submit a proposal detailing a compelling vision for a narrative photography project with a social or political context.
The award is intended for photographers at early-to-mid career stage (working professional photographer, probably trained, with some experience, but who does not yet earn a full living wage from their preferred style of photographic work).
There is no age limitation, and there is no requirement for art school or a university education.
We encourage photographers from culturally diverse backgrounds, those whose gender identity differs from their assigned sex, and those with disabilities.
Please note that we do not fund current undergraduates, or full-time students on any course. We also do not fund work that forms part of a postgraduate degree.
The award was created in memory of Rebecca Vassie, a British photographer and photojournalist who died suddenly, aged 30, while on assignment in Uganda in March 2015.
