The Billboard Art Project brings large-format art from emerging and established artists to billboards across Lisbon.
The objective of São Rafael Galleries is to turn billboard advertising spaces into an open-air art exhibition. The works on display will be carefully selected through a blind-submission process that is open to everyone. In addition to the curated submissions, the exhibition features special guest artists.
The billboards will be spread across the most premium areas of Lisbon: Belém, Campolide, Alcântara, Algés, Benfica, Cais Sodré, Carcavelos, Caxias, Entre Campos, Rossio, Santa Apolónia, Sete Rios, Alvalade, Alameda, Areeiro, Avenida, Campo Grande, Campo Pequeno, Marquês de Pombal, Oriente, Praça de Espanha, Quinta das Conchas, Restauradores, Roma, Saldanha, Telheiras.
The exhibition will be on display for almost a month (4 weeks), between November and December.
*The fee can be paid in two installments of 133,00 EUR. One at the beginning of the exhibition and another in the middle of the exhibition (December).
Files must be at least 1357x2000 px and 300dpi.

EXHIBITION FEE: 266.00 EUR* Includes: 1 billboard with 1 artwork highlighted in a solo exhibition 1 artwork integrated into the collective exhibition, distributed across billboards around the city (it could be a different artwork from the one highlighted.

Send us an email with the title OPEN-CALL: The Billboard Art Project and attach a brief introduction to your artist path and the two proposed artworks (Pay attention to the minimum resolution indicated in the open-call). Our team will soon respond to indicate whether your work was selected or not.
