Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design - Call for Incubator Artisans
Since opening in 1972, the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design (the Centre) has become an integral and leading force in the education, promotion, and development of the craft sector in Unama’ki-Cape Breton. Over the past 15 years, the Centre has developed multiple residency and creative practice incubator opportunities for craftspeople to hone their skills, build community connections, and establish or maintain their craft businesses.
Whether located within the Sydney facility, or through our various partnerships, each program is tailored to the needs of the craft community and provides space for participants to focus on their individual practice goals.
The Centre currently has three (3) vacant studios in the Customs House Artisan Incubator in Port Hawkesbury open for application from craftspeople across Turtle Island, with more coming soon.
