Art functions beyond the sum of its physical presence, and serves as a method of storytelling. Artists today engage with narratives of identity, politics, and perspectives, both monumental and minuscule in scale. Symbolism can be embedded in everyday objects and materials, arranged, or fragmented to uncover layers of meanings to the viewer. Gallery 263 invites artists based in New England to submit artwork that tells stories of these overlooked narratives to STORYLINES, a regional exhibition juried by James Everett Stanley, an artist and Assistant Professor of Painting at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Any 2D, 3D, and time-based work will be considered. This is a regional call, open to residents of New England or those who have lived in New England in the last 5 years.
Deadline to Apply: January 18, 2021 at 11:59 PM
