Event History
In it's 31st year, the AOTC exhibit is one of the oldest in the state and country and consists of over 100 permanent pieces as well as an annual, juried temporary exhibit of 10-30 pieces. Started in 1984 by local sculptor, Dave Davis, Art on the Corner has become a cultural icon in Downtown Grand Junction. The program has been recognized and mimicked in communities across the world.
What Makes this event different?
We offer a $500 honorarium, 2 nights in a downtown hotel, and an artist's reception on the night of the installation. Best in Show awards are cash prizes and all pieces are insured.

The Art on the Corner Committee and Downtown Grand Junction invite you to submit your sculptures to be considered for the 2016 public exhibit. The Art on the Corner exhibit is Grand Junction's most visited attraction and will expose your work to thousands of visitors from all over the world. Sculptures must be an original creation. Artists may submit up to two works of art. All artwork must be for sale. The deadline for receipt of proposals is August 19, 2016 at 5pm. Final selection for the 2016 exhibit will be complete by August 26 and artists will be notified at that time. Installation of the exhbit will take place on October 8, 2016 and will remain in place for one year. Artists are required to deliver their artwork on the day of installation. An Artist's reception will be held on the evening of October 8, 2016 to celebrate the new exhibit and award Best in Show awards. Downtown accomodations will be provided on October 7 and 8th. Submittal rquirements: 1. Contact information- name, address, phone, email and artists website. 2. Sculpture information- Title, material, size, wieght, special installation requirements, price and an artist's statement about the piece. 3. Three images per piece taken from different angles labelled with your name and title of the piece.
