SUMMER IN VOLCANO COUNTRY ON THE BIG ISLAND in HAWAI’I
NPAF is once again offering four summer Hawaii Volcanoes National Park residencies. These are close to some of the best beaches on the island. The first one-month residency is for a term in June 2021. The residency includes a a studio, $2000 stipend, housing, events, publicity, a Dolphin & Manta Ray Excursion and much more…this is the chance of a lifetime for Artists! Separate AiR's for JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER of 2021.

+ ALL MEDIA RESIDENCY — This residency features a Public Presentation at the Park, (DURING COVID LIKELY VIRTUAL) and a converted studio space at the house. There is a solo recording booth in the house for music, podcast, all sound recordings, and an external mixing area.
Artists will stay at a spacious house located just outside the park boundaries, and near the beaches. A 30-minute car ride to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Headquarters.
These residencies are IDEAL FOR ARTISTS & TEACHERS ON AN ACADEMIC SCHEDULE!
Amazing two-story 3 Bedroom, 3 bath home, recording booth, meditation area and art studio conversion with panoramic views of the ocean. As you create your art, watch pods of whales migrate. Minutes to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Kahuku Unit and less than 30 miles to the Visitor Center. Possible Art donation through NPAF to NPS Collection at Hawai'i Volcanoes.
We are excited to continue our artist-in-residence program at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. The Park boundaries include two legendary and sacred volcanoes, Kīlaueā and Mauna Loa, as well as rainforests and mysterious and ever-changing active lava flows. This is a unique dramatic environment for all artistic media to flourish and to inspire new breakthroughs in process and result.
